Legacy Montages are historical stories sharing the life and accomplishments of a team, group or an individual athlete, celebrity or other recognizable person with a broad fan base or following. Each is a true one-of-a-kind composition.
Our artists are able to insert one or more portraits, logos and/or other personal images into each montage making you a part of the original design. This will allow you, a friend or family member to be seamlessly blended into the story in such a way that the added image or images are literally a part of the flow and sequence of the design composition making the powerful statement - "...without you, the story's just not complete!".

Dale Earnhardt is one to the best known drivers of all time and a fixture in the sport of NASCAR. PaintMyStory was commissioned to produce a montage on Dale's life. The proof you see here was signed by Dale giving us the go ahead to make several design changes and move on to the finished artwork.
While we'd sent the proof with instructions to "sign off" on the design which normally is done on a small sticker on the back, Ironically, Dale instead signed the front boldly with a sharpe, making it the souvenir that this piece would soon become.
On February 18, 2001 Dale lost his life in a final-lap accident at the Dayton 500. The montage was never completed, but we have this perpetual remembrance of his racing story and the honor we had in meeting the legend, learning about his family and getting to share in his success.
The original montage is available for sale. The signature has been authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA).
